Inflatables, Mini Golf and Outdoor Summer Fun!
Take Over Perry Farm Park for Family Night Out
Families are invited to kick off the summer season at Bourbonnais Township Park District’s Family Night Out on Friday, May 29, from 6:00–8:00 pm at Perry Farm Park. The annual event brings together live entertainment, inflatables, games, rides, food vendors, and hands-on activities for all ages in one evening at Perry Farm Park. Admission is just $10 per carload or walking group.
Last year’s event welcomed more than 1,200 attendees and continues to kick off the summer for BTPD. New this year, families can test their skills on a 9-hole mini golf course added to the lineup of attractions. Activities included features such as carriage rides on the park trails, the popular barrel train rides, carnival games, inflatables, face painting, an imagination playground building area, and a large inflatable corn maze. Younger children can enjoy bounce houses, while older children and families can take on the obstacle courses, mini golf, and challenge games in the carnival area.
Live entertainment will once again feature The Willows, a Chicagoland band returning for their third consecutive year performing. The band will perform today’s hits from the gazebo throughout the evening. Food trucks and additional purchase activities will also be available throughout the evening, including Joey’s Red Hots, Candy & Cakes, caricature artists, and the Teddy Mountain stuffing machine featuring plush animal options.
“Family Night Out is all about kicking off summer together as a community and giving families a fun evening outdoors at Perry Farm Park,” said Executive Director Mike O’Shea. “From the live entertainment and inflatables to the new mini golf course, we are excited for families to experience all the fun things we have planned this summer season.”
BTPD Recreation Supervisor Lindsey Laskey said planning the event focuses on creating a wide variety of activities so families of all ages can enjoy the evening together. “We work hard to make sure there is something happening around every corner of the park,” Laskey said. “Whether families want to listen to live music, play games, explore inflatables, or relax outside together, there are activities designed for a wide range of ages and interests.”
Community organizations attending the event include River Valley Special Recreation Association, Scouting America, and Girl Scouts.
