International Conservation Efforts & Anti Poaching of Species

Explore the global mission to preserve biodiversity and combat the growing threats of poaching and the illegal wildlife trade. This program highlights key species impacted by these practices, including elephants targeted for ivory, rhinos for their horns, big cats for bones and claws, gorillas and sharks exploited as status symbols, and countless others affected by the bushmeat trade and local economic pressures. Participants will also examine the complex distinction between illegal poaching and legal trophy hunting, and how both contribute to the decline of the world’s most iconic wildlife.
