Bus Driver :
The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking to fill a substitute bus driver position. Applicants must possess a CDL with passenger endorsement with an excellent driving record. Qualified applicants will need to pass a criminal background check and physical examination including a drug test. The park district is looking for a candidate that has good communication skills, excellent customer service expertise and has flexibility in their schedule.

Custodian :
The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking to fill a part-time Custodian position. The Park Custodians are responsible for the overall indoor maintenance and cleaning of the Exploration Station, the Perry Farm House, outdoor Perry Farm Park restrooms, the Recreation Station and other park facilities as needed.  Park Custodians may also assist with the setup and take down of Park District events. Hours are normally from 5pm - 9pm but may vary and will require some weekends. Applicants must have a valid drivers’ license, be able to pass a criminal background check, a physical and a drug screen. 

Fitness Instructor :
The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking highly motivated and dynamic instructors to join our team. Both contractual & part-time positions are available. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. If you are a fitness instructor who is energetic, outgoing, willing to build relationships with new and existing clients, and ready to lead dynamic workout routines you could be a great addition to our team. We are looking for instructors with confidence in working with all level of clients to provide challenging, fitness-based classes in a safe manner. We have an immediate need for an instructor with availability weekday mornings.

Front Desk Clerk :
The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking an energetic person to fill the part-time position of Front Desk Clerk at the Recreation Station.  Duties include: answering phones, computer data entry, customer service, taking registrations, and providing information on park district activities. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work closely with the public. Additional requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong computer aptitude and two years of experience in a similar position. Positions average between 20 and 30 hours per week. Hours may occasionally include evenings and weekends. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Parks Laborers :
The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking to fill one full-time and one part-time Parks Laborer position. The Parks Laborer is responsible for assisting with the overall maintenance and daily operation of District parks and facilities including facility structures, grounds, paths, roadways, maintaining all tools, vehicles, equipment and supplies. Hours will vary and may include working some nights and or weekends.

Preschool Teachers and Aides :
The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking qualified individuals to fill the part-time positions of preschool Teachers and Aides. Positions average between 20 and 30 hours per week. Schedules will vary between the hours of operation from 6:30 am through 6:00 pm. Teachers should have 60 hours of college credit including 6 hours of child development or 1 year of experience and 30 hours of college credit. All applicants must be at least 18 years old and truly enjoy working with children and parents. Preference is given to applicants with prior experience in preschool or classroom setting.

Recreation Assistant :
The Bourbonnais Township Park District has an opening for a full-time Rec Assistant. This position is responsible for a variety of functions including assisting the Recreation Supervisor in charge of Preschool and Youth & Teen programs in creating, implementing, supervising and evaluating recreation programs.  Duties will include assisting with the training, scheduling and supervising of staff. The majority of programming will be done in the areas of Preschool Programs, Preschool Camps, Youth Programs, Youth Camps, Teen Programs, Before and After School Programs, Special Events, Facility Rentals and Parties.  Other programming areas and duties may be assigned.  

Program Instructor(s) :
The Bourbonnais Township Park District is always on the lookout for Program Instructor(s) who want to share their talents with the community. The ideal candidates will have experience in planning programs, public speaking as well as a great interest in working directly with people. The positions involve program planning, and implementation.  Candidates must be able to work weekends and evenings. The positions require a minimum of a high school diploma and/or a specific background and expertise in the particular subject being taught. The park district is seeking instructors on a variety of subjects which include but are not limited to: Fitness, Sports, Wellness, Education, Arts & Crafts, and Nature related programs. Specialized Program instructors should hold specific certifications within their area of expertise and have at least two years of related experience. These positions are part-time and are considered independent contractors.
