Advisory
Committees
Advisory Committees
are groups formed to provide advice on a routine basis to the Board
in a particular area of the District's operation. Action takes the
form of recommendation of advice on policy matters (if to the Board)
or operations (if to staff). By-laws are developed and approved for
the group by the Board. The group has no fiscal authority or operating
responsibility, and the Board or staff member determines the final
action taken. Advisory Committees are formed and/or dissolved by the
Board of Commissioners.
As of May 1, 2003,
the Park District has the following Advisory Committees:

Living History Advisory Committee
- Robert Simpson
- Janine Dunn
- Daron Kinzinger
- Vic Johnson
- Ken Lewellen
- Cecile Enright
- Angela Pallissard
The
Board also periodically appoints citizen Task Forces.
