Group Information

Group Admission fees:

$4.00 pe
r person for non-resident groups
(i.e. church groups, daycares and scout troops)

$3.00 per person for non-resident school groups

$2.00 per person for resident groups and school groups

Required group chapperones (1 adult:5 children) and bus drivers recieve free admission. Additional adults accompanying groups are welcome and will be charged the group admission rate.

The museum requires a 1:5 adult to child ratio. For every 5 students that pay the admission fee, you recieve 1 free admission for an adult chapperone.
Additional Adults are welcome and will be charged at the group admission rate. Teachers and staff are included in the adult chapperone count.
Groups with special needs are allowed a 1:1 adult to child ratio.
Museum group rates apply for groups of 10 or more individuals.

Deposit:
A $25.00 booking deposit is required for all group visits and must be recieved at least two weeks prior to your visit. Deposits must accompany a Reservation Contract. For more details on booking a trip please contact our program and trip coordinator at (815) 935-5665.

Group Programs:
For an additional $1-$2 per student, your group may add a program to your museum visit.

2007 Programs Include:
All About Animals-where children can get a hands-on experience with some of the museum's exotic animals, shells and pelts.
3, 2, 1, Blast Off!- is a popular program where students create a real working rocket.
Science Spectacular-will have your students conducting fantastic science experiments.
Spinning Art- is a new program where children create groovy painted pictures including a painting on the museum's zany spinning art machine.
Tooth Trouble-is a story and craft program featuring the story "Moose's Loose Tooth" by Jacqueline A. Clarke

Lunch Room:
Groups may use the lunch room during their visit to eat or, weather depending, groups may eat outside in our picnic area or under our pavillion. Groups may bring a snack, a sack lunch or purchase a meal from us. Meal prices vary but are usually around $3 per child.

Meal Options:
Groups may choose one meal choice for their group. Meal choices are Hot Dog Meal, Cheese Pizza Meal, or Chicken Nugget Meal.
