Facility Rentals-

Willowhaven Interpretive
Center

The Willowhaven Interpretive Center is a restored 1900's barn that transforms into a spectacular location to host a graduation, wedding, bridal or baby shower, family gathering, or business meeting.

The facility can accomodate up to 95 guests and can be rented year round. The facility also has a small meeting/multi-purpose room that can accomodate up to 20 guests. For large rentals the Multipurpose room is often used for catered-in food.

The facility is only available for rentals when the facility is not open to the pubic.

Sundays- 6:00 - 10:00 pm

*From November 1, 2008- March 16, 2009 the Willowhaven Interpretive Center will have additional rental hours available. Sunday-Thursday 9:00 am-10:00 pm and Friday-Saturday 9:00 am-12:00 am.

Reservations are subject to availability. All reservations are based on a 2 hour minimum rental.
Rentals include 15 minutes set-up and 15 minute clean-up before and after the reserved rental time. If more time is needed please take that into consideration when booking your rental.

Tables and chairs are provided. The facility has ten 5' round tables and ninty-five off white folding chairs for guest seating and up to three 8' long tables for use during rentals.

Some nature center exhibits are permanent and can not be moved for rentals. These exhibits include large display cases near the front desk, log reading table, wall mounted animal displays and fish and turtle tanks.

Paymant must be made in full for a rental reservation permit to be issued. There is a $40.00 security deposit due at the time of the reservation in addition to the rental fees. The deposit is kept until after the rental and is usually refunded within 7-10 buisiness days. Security deopsits will not be refunded if the building or exhibits are damaged or the facility is not cleaned after a rental.

Alcohol is allowed during rentals provided that an alcohol request permit is filled out by the rentee and approved but the executive director at least 14 days prior to the rental and Dram Shop Insurance is obtained by the rentee. The Bourbonnais Township Park District must be listed as an additional insured for the rental and a copy of the insurance certificate must be provided to the facility at least 7 days prior to the rental date. Nature Birthday Parties
Plan your child's next birthday party at the Willowhaven Interpretive Center!
We offer a variety of party packages and activities to fit your child's interests.
Information is subject to change.

No Frills Party -we provide the tables and chairs and you do the rest.

Ultimate Nature Party- we set up tables, chairs, paper plates, cups, plastic ware, streamers, balloons and plastic table covers (you choose the colors).

Either party can be upgraded with different add-on options such as a 20 minute animal presentation with some of the interpretive center's live animals, a nature scavenger hunt and/or face painting. Call for more details and other party options.

All parites must be paid in full 24 hours prior to the party start time. A $40 deposit is requires to hold party date.
