Earth Day Awareness
Fair!
The Exploration Station...a children's museum is hosting our annual
Earth Day Awareness Fair on Saturday, April 17, 2010. The fair
will include a variety of environmentally friendly activities and educational
programs to help preserve and improve the quality of life for future
generations. Throughout the day the fair will include recycling
activities, face painting, crafts, hay rides and more. We also
offer tie-dying for participants who bring in their own T-shirt (limit
one per person) or you can purchase a shirt from the museum gift shop
for $5.00. The Earth Day Awareness Fair is open to the public
and admission is FREE when you bring in six recyclable items. Acceptable
items include: cleaned aluminum cans, newspapers, plastic 2 liter bottles,
and plastic 12 oz bottles and computer ink cartridges. The Daily Journal Newspaper is sponsoring a newspaper recycling drive at the event this year. See if you can win a prize by bringing in the most newspapers to recycle!
