Dog Day Afternoon

The Bourbonnais Township Park District knows how important dogs are to their families and this special event is just for them.

Booths with all the experts will be available to answer any questions you might have about your dog.

Prizes, raffles, free gifts, and doggie treats of all kinds will be on hand for your dog. There will be games and activities of all sorts for you and your dog to participate in. Don’t miss out on some of our event favorites such as the Dog Costume Contest, Dog Play Area and the Doggie Treat Hunt. We also will have face painting for the kids located at the Large Gazebo courtesy of the Bradley Animal Hospital.

Please remember to comply with the park's mandatory leash law and waste removal rules.

Rules:
All dogs must be controlled on a leash six feet long or less. Retractable leashes are allowed as long as they are locked at six feet or less.

All animal waste must be pick-up and disposed of in a waste receptacle. Plastic baggies are available at no charge at the event front gate.

All dogs must be healthy and up to date on shots to participate at Dog Day Afternoon. Unruly or aggressive dogs will be asked to leave the park.

The Dog Day Raffle:
While you are at Dog Day Afternoon please stop by the raffle table next to the demo area. Every year we get fun dog related items that we raffle off. This year all raffle proceeds will benefit a local animal rescue group! Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Winners do not need to be present to win and winners will be picked throughout the event; all prizes must be picked up at Dog Day by 5:00pm or prizes will be available for pick-up at the Recreation Station on 770 E. Franklin Street in Bradley, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

The Dog Day Photo Booth:
Get your picture taken with your favorite four-legged family memeber at the Pet Photo Booth! Photos are $15 and includes a CD with digital copyrights. Photos & CDs can be picked up after June 3rd, 2013 at the Recreation Station on 770 E. Franklin Street in Bradley, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Events do not require pre-registration, you can show up and participate for each event at the scheduled time.

2:30 p.m. - Doggie Fashion Show at Demo Area
3:00 p.m. - Doggie Trick Contest at Demo Area
4:15 p.m.- The Great Doggie Treat Hunt at rope fence North of Pavilion (North Field)
